Lata A. Krishnan, PhD, CCC-A has been in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) department at Purdue University since 1998. She received her BSc. in Speech and Hearing from the University of Mysore, India in 1984, her MS in Audiology from Rush University in 1987 and her PhD in Hearing Science from Purdue University in 2008. Dr. Krishnan's experience includes more than 20 years of clinical supervision of graduate students in two university clinics and development of SLHS in Zambia, the first study abroad program in the SLHS department. Her current responsibilities include clinical supervision of graduate students, classroom teaching of undergraduate and graduate students and leading the new SLHS in India study abroad program.

Dr. Krishnan's professional interests are in the areas of diagnostic audiology, auditory physiology and electrophysiology, and pediatric assessment and intervention. She holds a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and professional licensure from the state of Indiana. She is also a certified First Steps early intervention provider for children from birth to three years of age.
